Dr. Erik Fritsvold
Erik Fritsvold is the Academic Director of the University of San Diego’s MS in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership program. With a PhD from UC Irvine, he applies academic expertise to modern policing challenges. He also serves as faculty for the California POST Command College and was named one of America’s Best 300 Professors.

Lieutenant Jamison Maehler
Lieutenant Jamison Maehler has served the Seattle Police Department for over a decade. Drawing on a distinguished background as a U.S. Army Captain, training officer, police mountain bikeofficer, rifle-certified officer, crisis intervention certified officer and a sergeant, Lieutenant Maehler strengthened his leadership and tactical expertise – preparing him well for the position of Lieutenant.

Assistant Chief Stacie Schaner
Stacie Schaner serves as an Assistant Chief for the Tucson Police Department, where she oversees the Patrol Services Bureau. With a diverse background spanning community engagement, emergency management, and internal affairs, she also serves on the boards of La Frontera and Homicide Survivors, Inc. Stacie is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Policing and holds a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego.

Lieutenant Wesley Herman
With over 15 years of law enforcement experience, Lieutenant Wesley Herman serves as a leader in modern policing, specializing in special operations and public-private partnerships. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of San Diego and is a graduate of the prestigious California POST Command College. Wes combines his operational experience with a strong academic background to advance public safety.
