Naming that distress as only personal, she suggests, can function almost like a kind of gaslighting. What’s often missing isn’t personal resilience, but the cultural ways that once sustained us, connection to heart and spirit, to our ancestors, and to the land itself.
When we reweave these connections, we’re able to step into what is truly ours to do, held, nourished and supported, for our loved ones, communities, and for the earth.
