​​​​​​​Preparing for Cambridge B2 First for Schools Writing, through inspiring photos and favourite foods

In this webinar we’ll place the focus principally on the First For Schools Writing paper. Students tend to produce more effective language in exam situations when they have had the opportunity to practise in meaningful situations. With this in mind, links between the Speaking paper and Part One essay writing will be highlighted. You will learn how to use stimulating photos to inspire students to create their own speaking tasks, similar to Part Two of the speaking exam. Building on the speaking tasks, students understand how the same linguistic devices and B2 level vocabulary provide content and structure for exam-style writing. We shall address ways to encourage peer evaluation and explore free, online writing tools , such as Cambridge 'Write and Improve'. With the emphasis on increasing student production, decreasing teacher talk time, and ultimately reclaiming more “me” time, those of you who are preparing teens for the First For Schools Exam should find this a useful, practical session.
