Hydrogen in China - what you need to know

Reinhold Wurster has been active in the hydrogen sector since 1986, with a focus on PtX technologies and hydrogen mobility. He brings extensive international experience and an excellent network across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Wurster is a founding member of the German Hydrogen Association (DWV, 1996), served as a board member until 2020, as a presidium member until 2022, and remains a personal member of the DWV to this day.

He coordinated numerous EU-funded hydrogen projects, including HyWays (2004–2007, European Hydrogen Roadmap) and EIHP I&II (1998–2004, international harmonization of standards for hydrogen mobility). He supported the BMVI program for 50 hydrogen refueling stations (2014–2017) and led the Sino-German Electro-Mobility projects (2018–2023). His core expertise lies in Regulations, Codes & Standards (RCS), currently contributing to the German H2 RCS platform and serving as a member of ISO/TC 197 Hydrogen Technologies.
