What You Will Learn In The Webinar

You will learn about the hydrogen demand in the next 20-30 years, which will lead to understanding how many of our future products the market will need.
The current hydrogen market is approximately 100 million tons per year (depending on the statistics that you read). Some of that market will go down in a net-zero scenario (e.g. refineries), and some of it will grow (e.g. ammonia for fertilizers due to a growing population).

In any case, this hydrogen has to be produced from renewable sources instead of natural gas, oil or even coal. So this market alone is big.

But what about the hydrogen demand for mobility, seasonal storage, steel, sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), intercontinental shipping and other hard to abate sectors? How big is this market going to be? How many million tons of green hydrogen does the world need per year? How many electrolyzers, valves, sensors and EPC manhours does the
market need? How many factories do I have to build now to be prepared?

This will include:

  • Understanding the projected hydrogen demand over the next 20-30 years
  • Evaluating the shift from fossil fuels to renewable hydrogen sources
  • Assessing the market needs for hydrogen in various sectors
  • Planning the necassary infrastructure and production capacity for future hydrogen demand

Carlos Bernuy-Lopez, Senior Consultant and Thought Leader at Ramboll, will share his perspective and will give you an overview of what is needed to achieve Net Zero and what role clean and green hydrogen might play.
