Safety alert and guidance - protecting vulnerable road users on and around TTM work sites

About the webinar

A total of 1,052 people were killed or seriously injured on or around temporary traffic management work sites between 2001 and 2021. This number includes 104 vulnerable road users.

One of these people, a cyclist, was fatally injured in 2019, following a collision with a concrete truck on a road work site. Civil Contractors New Zealand has since worked to support the members involved in reviewing the temporary traffic management settings and produce a Practice Note around supporting vulnerable road users around TTM sites.
