Effective Goal Setting in Counseling
Counseling can easily start with a simple “eliminate the presenting problem” goal. This is not bad, and sometimes is effective. But this kind of goal setting can often make it difficult to discern when things are “better” and how much better things need to be for counseling to conclude.
