  • John Larmer

    John Larmer is an expert in project-based learning, with a special interest in K-12 social studies. He is a former teacher of high school government/civics, history, and English. In his 20 years as a director and editor-in-chief at the Buck Institute for Education/PBLWorks, he co-developed the model for Gold Standard PBL. He has recently written PBL curriculum units in American history for Educurious, and is now the senior PBL advisor at Defined Learning, where he develops civics performance tasks.
