About the Webinar

For over 20 years the Society of Cosmetic Chemists South Africa has offered a 2-year, 56 module certificate course. Thanks to their generosity we are able to share several modules a year with the IFSCC Global audience.

This webinar is 4 skin care modules combined into 1. Our Presenter will be Wanda Posthumus.

Here are the 4 skin care modules:
​​​​​​​Wanda Posthumus is the Laboratory Manager at Vantage Specialty Chemicals in South Africa. She has been part of the R&D team for 19 years, where they formulate a variety of products for the Skin and Hair Care markets. She specializes in Suncare and Ethnic Hair Care. Wanda holds a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology, a diploma in Business Administration and Management and has also completed the Cosmetic Science Course presented by COSCHEM in South Africa. She is currently a
lecturer for the same course covering Skin Care.

Kelly A. Dobos is a cosmetic chemist with 20 years of expertise in both skin care and color cosmetic formulation working for notable brands like Bonne Bell, Purell, and Jergens. She graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and obtained a Master of Science in pharmaceutical sciences with an emphasis in cosmetic science from the James L Winkle College of Pharmacy (WCOP) at the University of Cincinnati. Kelly also holds an MBA from Cleveland State University.

Kelly is an inventor on 4 patents and has written numerous technical and educational articles for cosmetic science publications like Cosmetics and Toiletries. She was elected as President of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists in 2019.
