  • Dr Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi – Tiger Brands Chairman

    Geraldine is the Chancellor of the Nelson Mandela University, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA); Chair of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) an expert body of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC); Lead Independent Director for Exxaro; Non Executive Board member of Standard Bank Group and Standard Bank South Africa.

    She is a fellow of the Institute of Politics, Kennedy School of Government, at Harvard University, and has completed a Leading Organisational Change course at Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Geraldine holds a Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and has received several awards including the OP Dwivedi Public Service Award from the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Public Administration and a Special Award for Outstanding Achievement from University of Pretoria’s School of Public Management and Administration.
  • Dr Sheila Sisulu –Tiger Brands Foundation Chairperson

    Dr Sisulu studied at the University of Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland, for a Bachelor of Arts in 1974 and Bachelor’s degree in education in 1990 at the University of the Witwatersrand. She was appointed as the Ministerial Advisor to the National Minister of Education from 1994 to 1997.

    Two tertiary education institutions in America have awarded Dr Sisulu with honorary degrees. In addition to her achievements, she was a founding member of South African Women’s Development Bank in 1992 and was appointed Chairperson of Tiger Brands Foundation in 2016. She has been awarded the Allan Pfizer Fellowship Fund in 1989; Nedbank Femina Woman of the 90s in 1993 and South African Women for Women Education Award in June 1998.
  • Fatima Chohan - Deputy Chairperson, South African Human Rights Commission

    Fatima served as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. She was first appointed as a Member of Parliament in 1996 and became Deputy Minister of Home Affairs in 2010. She holds a B.Proc degree from the University of Witwatersrand. She chaired various Portfolio Committees such as Basic Education, Justice and Constitutional Development and Public Enterprises.

    Fatima served as a Legal Advisor in the Gauteng Legislature and Parliamentary Representative on the Magistrate's Commission and later became Chairperson of the Western Cape Provincial Committee of the Magistrate's Commission. In addition, she also served in the Judicial Services Commission (2009-2014) and for several terms as the Deputy Chair of the RWT branch of the ANC
  • Konehali (Kone) Gugushe - Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund

    Kone’s vision is to be an active participant in shaping a better future for generations to come, particularly contributing towards better social cohesion and community development. By profession Kone is a development Chartered Accountant (SA) with more than 20 years’ experience, spanning over the financial services sector and development finance. Prior to joining the Fund in 2020, she worked for various banks including Standard Bank, Nedbank and Landbank
  • Cathy Mohlahlana - Award-winning broadcast journalist

    Cathy is a senior news anchor for South Africa’s newly launched 24hr channel Newzroom Afrika where she hosts the daily primetime bulletin on channel 405. She also hosts the mid-morning talk radio show on SAfm. Cathy began her career as a reporter and radio anchor for Talk Radio 702’s Eyewitness News and Kaya FM.  Cathy has previously hosted eNCA’s evening primetime bulletin NewsNight and eTV’s evening bulletin. She’s also covered high profile stories including the life of Nelson Mandela and the Oscar Pistorius Murder trial.

    In 2009, she won the National Press Club Radio Journalist of the Year Award. In 2012, she was selected to take part in the CNN Journalism Fellowship. In 2014, Cathy was selected as a fellow for US President Barack Obama's Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). She was named by Destiny Magazine as one of the “Top 40 women under 40” in 2015. She holds a Politics and International Relations degree from Wits university.
