The Chancellor of the Exchequer will be delivering his first Autumn Statement on 17^th November. A straightforward enough statement were it not that Jeremy Hunt is the fourth Chancellor in as many months and what is now full Autumn Statement and de facto Budget started life as a Medium Term fiscal statement. It is widely commented that the UK faces a fiscal deficit that requires a combination of spending cuts and tax increases of around £70-90 billion. On the 17^th, we will hear how he Chancellor plans to address that deficit, in one of the most challenging Autumn Statements for many years.
