The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training’s (W&RSETA) is one of the 21 SETAs mandated by Government to facilitate skills development through development of qualifications, disbursement of grants to qualifying companies, quality assurance of learning, and provision of bursaries in all sectors. The W&RSETA operates within one of the biggest sectors of the South African economy; the Wholesale and Retail Sector which comprises predominantly of SMMEs. Its programmes includes learnerships and short programmes; SMME, cooperative and rural development; management and leadership development; career guidance and bursaries from undergraduate to PhD level.
