Alicia Marsland
Born in Venezuela to an American journalist and Canadian writer, William and Amy Marsland, who jointly wrote "Venezuela through its History" still used in college classrooms today (also several later works, including two murder mysteries). Alicia Geromel traveled with them for the first five years of her life until they settled in Greene, N.Y. an idyllic upstate town. A voracious reader, she graduated from Cornell University and later received her Master's in teaching from Saginaw Valley State University. She owned and operated her own small school for children needing more individual attention for twenty years while raising four children and one foster child with her husband, Fr. Gene Geromel, also an author. She had her first book, "The Wizard's Daughter" written for children, published in 1978. In the past five years, she has returned to writing and if she lives, as she plans, into the 90's, you can expect many sci-fi, fantasy and other works to be found under her maiden name, Alicia Marsland. Currently, she is working on the third volume of her series, "The Tale of the Eighth Herald", which will be titled "Lie" and should be released in 2020, God willin' an' the crick don' rise. Fr. Gene's books include "Mystery Telling" a small book of spiritual exercises and sound advice, available on Amazon and Kindle.
