About The Webinar

South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act comes into effect on 1 July 2021. All businesses with employees, customers and suppliers must now comply with the Act when dealing with personal information.

Organisations are now accountable for storing, protecting the privacy of personal information in the workplace and ensuring that it is used in a responsible and ethical manner. Non-compliance and mishandling of such data will result in not just corporate/brand reputational damage but also hefty fines, legal fees and even prison time.

Even if your organisation is compliant, are you ready to deal with factors outside your control such as cybercrimes? What are the implications if things go wrong? Have you properly secured your organisation’s IT infrastructure to prevent a breach happening and personal information from being exposed? Have you taken all the necessary steps to safeguard the personal data you are entrusted with from foreseeable risks?

Join this live webcast hosted by Trend Micro, a global leader in cyber security, with a mission to make the world safe for exchanging digital information. Experts will share scenarios planning to prepare for the “what-ifs”, practical measures for companies that are “high risk” and what to do if an incident does occur.

Ensure your last burning questions are answered during this live webcast. Let’s get really ready for POPI!
