Ammonia production for the fertilizer industry is the largest market for hydrogen today. With more than 50 million tons of hydrogen per year, ammonia is already a multi-billion market. At the same time, with more than 500 million tons of CO2 emissions, it is also a significant driver of climate change.
There is no alternative for the hydrogen in ammonia. There is only the possibility of producing it "green", i.e. from renewable energies, instead of natural gas, oil or coal.
Ammonia is also considered a promising and transportable energy carrier. Green ammonia could be relatively easy to transport and handle, unlike pure hydrogen.
In this webinar, one of the best-known experts on Green Ammonia, Charley Rattan, will give you the state of the art and explain where the biggest opportunities and risks are.
In particular, the following questions will be addressed:
- How ammonia and hydrogen can work together
- The coming hydrogen economy and Ammonia's role within it: What is it? How will it be implemented?
- Supply chains - floating wind opportunities, electrolysers, other equipment and services needed, where and when?
- National and global opportunities for ammonia and hydrogen
- Route to market - who to talk to, how to do business, engaging with the ammonia, hydrogen and renewables industries
- Global ammonia projects Where are they? Who is involved?
As always, you will have the opportunity to get answers to your questions from Charley Rattan during the Q&A.
