Ukraine is considered one of the best countries for green hydrogen production in Europe thanks to extensive renewable potential. Experts believe that 8,000 MW of electrolyser capacities for hydrogen in Ukraine to supply to the EU are possible until 2030.

Maryna Hritsyshyna is one of the leading experts for renewable energy and hydrogen production in Ukraine. As a lawyer specialized in renewable energy, electricity and gas markets, Maryna has drafted and negotiated EPC contracts, supply contracts as well as installation and service agreements for more than 1.5 GW of wind farms. Maryna has also published dozens of articles on electricity market design, energy storage and electricity trade.
Her article “Legal Regulation of Hydrogen in Germany and Ukraine as a Precondition for Energy Partnership and Energy Transition” published in December 2021 in the MDPI is considered as a profound analysis of the current situation and needs to produce and export green hydrogen in Ukraine. Maryna Hritsyshyna was a Head of Energy Practice at Sayenko Kharenko, one of the largest law firms in Ukraine, and a member of the board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association.
She is from Irpin near Kyiv and currently lives in Erlangen, Germany.

Oleksandr Riepkin is the President of the Energy Association “Ukrainian Hydrogen Council” - the first hydrogen energy association of leading energy, industrial and public companies of Ukraine. He has been an expert in development and promotion of renewable, in particular hydrogen, energy in Ukraine for over 10 years.
Oleksandr is a member of the working group assembled by decree of the Prime Minister to prepare a Strategy for the development of hydrogen energy in Ukraine.
In March 2022 Oleksandr Riepkin was appointed Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the Economic Diplomacy. During Russia's military aggression, this direction remains one of the most important levers for strengthening Ukraine's international competitiveness and gains comparative advantages on the world market. Oleksandr`s task is to promote and protect the national economic interests of Ukraine abroad systematically and effectively.
