Finance Isle of Man, an Executive Agency of the Isle of Man Government's Department for Enterprise, is hosting this free webinar series exploring why the Isle of Man is the partnership jurisdiction of choice for wealth structuring for individuals and businesses in Hong Kong. The Finance Agency will be joined by several industry members, specialising in the Hong Kong market place.

  • Chief Minister, Howard Quayle, Isle of Man Government

    Hon. Howard Quayle, Member of the House of Keys (MHK) for Middle, was elected Chief Minister by Tynwald on 4 October 2016. Before his election to the role of Chief Minister he was Minister for Health and Social Care. He has also served as Chairman of the Planning Committee, Chairman of the Manx Electricity Authority and a political member of the Department of Economic Development and Department of Infrastructure. Mr Quayle was first elected to the House of Keys in 2011.

  • Michael Crowe, CEO, Finance Isle of Man

    Michael joined the Department after working in the Accountancy profession for 27 years. He was a Director at Grant Thornton Limited, and prior to that at PKF. Michael is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the former President of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and former Chair of the Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants. During his professional career he worked on the Island with a wide variety of clients and organisations of all sizes, covering all sectors of the local economy.

  • John Hunter, Head of Banking and Fiduciaries, Finance Isle of Man

    As Head of Banking and Fiduciaries for Finance Isle of Man, John works closely with the financial and professional services sectors across the Island. John has over 35 years' financial services experience, which has included senior management roles with several major banks, working across a wide spectrum of sectors, including Private Client and Fiduciary. During his banking career John set up a successful High Net Worth private client business for a major bank in Knightsbridge, developed a private banking business in the West Country, and developed a significant Private Equity desk for an offshore bank.

  • Craig Brown, Managing Director, IQEQ

    Craig joined IQ-EQ Group in 2013 and has been the Managing Director of the Isle of Man office since 2016. He has a Masters degree in engineering from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England Wales and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, qualifications which he obtained with Arthur Andersen. After leaving the accountancy profession he subsequently worked as head of tax in a variety of multinational companies, with experience in retail, FMCG, telecoms and the oil industry. He moved to the Isle of Man in 2008 after having spent 8 years as head of tax with a global oilfield services group headquartered in the UK. Craig has a broad spectrum of experience, with particular expertise in complex multinational structures, asset protection and business structuring.

  • Anne Baggesen, Group Director & Global Head of Private Wealth, Suntera Global

    Having started out in the trust and corporate services industry with KPMG in 1999, Anne also worked as a Trust Manager for Singer & Friedlander Trust Company for four years before joining Suntera in 2004. Appointed as Trust Director in 2006, Anne has been instrumental in managing the Group's bespoke, multi-jurisdictional trust and foundation arrangement ever since. In her role as Managing Director of Trusts and Private Wealth, Anne manages an international team of staff who support the establishment and ongoing management of trust structures for private, corporate and institutional clients worldwide.
