About Sofia Lee, Presenter

Sofia Lee has been in the technical realm within the personal care, home and pharmaceutical industry for seven years. After graduating with a double degree in Pharmaceutical Science and Chemical Engineering from Monash University Australia, Sofia worked at several OEMs working on many innovation products for multinational brands.

Currently an Aussie expat in Singapore, Sofia moved from Melbourne to join the Lubrizol Technical team at their regional lab in 2017. Supporting the South-East Asia and AnZ markets, Sofia now provides outstanding technical assistance from concept ideation to success launch. 

Sofia is an active member with both the ASCC and CTFAS and is passionate about product development. You might catch her at various trade shows and exhibitions for an engaging conversation when international travel resumes.

About Robert McPherson, Presenter

​​​​​​Robert McPherson has been in the Cosmetics and Pharmaceutical industry for almost 15 years.  Robert obtained a Degree in Chemistry from The University of Strathclyde (Scotland).  After 4 years of working at the Mentholatum Company in the UK Robert Immigrated to Australia where he had short spells working in various labs, which includes Reckitt Benckiers in Sydney. Robert joined Lubrizol in 2015 and is now their Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand in charge of the Lubrizol skin, personal and home care portfolio.

Robert was awarded the inaugural ASCC educational award at the ASCC 2019 conference. After more than 3 years as ASCC President, Robert stepped down in 2020. He is still very much involved with the ASCC as a member of council, the NSW chapter and is this year’s ASCC Conference Chairperson.   

About Gavin Chung, Moderator

Gavin Chung, Committe Member and Chair of Education at the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists, is Product Director and lead formulation chemist at JMC Cosmetics Hong Kong. He is a graduate of Chemical Engineering at McGill University, Quebec Canada. He specialises in skincare products development for indie brands. This is Gavin's first time Moderating an IFSCC Webinar.
