WHY...

the way you strum a song can make or break how authentic it sounds.  Duct-taping a memorized strum pattern on top of the song IS one option but it often doesn't really capture the the feel or VIBE of it!

good strumming requires a good awareness of rhythm...something many guitarists actually never get ANY instruction in. And yet it is rhythm that turns noise into music. Get good at rhythm and watch all your guitar skills improve.
