How Mauritius remains a relevant International Financial Center for South African corporates and individuals?

    Caoilfhionn is a UK qualified chartered accountant, with twenty years of international tax experience, starting at Arthur Andersen, London, and thereafter at Deloitte, London. She then moved to South Africa where she was the head of international tax at Sasol for nine years until 2016; while in Johannesburg she was also a part-time lecturer in international tax at the University of Johannesburg for many years. Caoilfhionn joined Regan van Rooy in 2016 and now heads up the Mauritian office.

  • Sachin Mohabeer

    Sachin joined the Board of Investment, now Economic Development Board, in 2005. He has been at the forefront in setting up various property schemes in Mauritius, from the IRS to RES and recently the Property Development Scheme and the Smart City Scheme. Sachin has facilitated the development of several mega real estate and hotel projects and providing advice to other start-up companies in project structuring, implementation and development. He is currently overseeing the development of several smart city projects in Mauritius.

  • Colin Grieve

    Colin has over 25 years’ experience in local and international banks and financial markets. He has held roles including Head of Treasury, Head of Corporate Banking and General Manager of investments and has acted as a mandated lead arranger in pan-African banking transactions throughout his career. Colin is the author of a book on investment strategy and holds a Master’s of Commerce from one of South Africa’s leading universities.
