He is a conservation accredited MCIOB and has worked with traditional buildings for 19 years in various posts at HES. The author of various HES technical guides including Retrofit and Brickwork he has also had a number of books published including The Scottish Brick Industry and Survey and Assessment of Traditionally Constructed Brickwork.​​​​​​​

About The Webinar

This talk will cover various aspects of the repair and improvement of traditionally constructed buildings. When looking to bring an empty home which is of traditional construction back into use, it is likely that repair and upgrade work will be needed. This will make the fabric of the building wind and watertight, as well as thermally efficient.
