About The Webinar
Rarely is there a technology that shifts the paradigm about who can perform and how we address wound cleaning/debridement. With the advent of Histologics’ proprietary medical fabric, “Kylon®”, an array of nylon hooks specialized to frictionally sweep or penetrate tissue for cleaning, debridement, or biopsy (tissue trapped in the hook array for processing in a lab) has transformed the approach to chronic wound treatments. Used gently, the Kylon® devices on handles and deployed on a finger-cot can clean wounds layer by layer, like “Moh’s Surgery for Wounds”, but used with significant pressure can convert the plastic hooks into an array of frictional, not sharp micro-curettes for surgical debridement or biopsy.
This webinar will primarily focus on the versatility of the Kylon® devices and method, and how podiatrists can apply the appropriate CPT and HCPCS reimbursement codes based on the procedure performed with the device chosen.
