Join Peter and Richard from The Electric Canvas in a discussion about the world of projection mapping, from creative concept through to technical execution.  Learn about the different ways to approach projects, how the creative process is integral to the technical solution, and how to creatively problem solve to achieve the desired outcome.

With over 20 years of experience as the southern hemisphere's only dedicated building projection specialists, this is a conversation not to be missed.

Registration is free.  If you cannot attend the live discussion, a replay will be automatically sent within 24hrs of the event.

Peter Milne:
Peter founded The Electric Canvas in 1997. With 45 years working in entertainment and events, he has considerable experience in lighting design, sound engineering, staging, audio visual, broadcast and, of course, projection.

Peter plays a hands-on role in all of the company’s projects. He is responsible for the overall projection design, the technical overlay that governs the creative possibilities, the application of appropriate technology and the overseeing of the creative and content development.

Peter is known internationally as an innovator in public projections and is regularly engaged as Director of Projection on major broadcast events, such as 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, 2017 Southeast Asian Games Ceremonies in Kuala Lumpur and 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Richard De Souza:
In 2019 Richard De Souza joined The Electric Canvas as Art Director, where he leads a team of up to sixteen artists. During his time with the company, he has overseen the artistic direction of every content project.

Richard is one of Australia's most esteemed projection artists. His work encompasses real-time animation and visual-design. He is constantly exploring the boundaries of emerging technology, seeking to integrate new platforms and reanimate known environments.

Prior to joining The Electric Canvas, he spent two decades designing, programming and directing visual content for projection and stage. He collaborated with musicians and producers, conceptualising stage shows and providing artwork for music events including Stereosonic, Future Musica Festival, Big Day Out and Parklife. He also designed the live visual identity for Peking Duk and toured with the act from 2014 to 2019.
