The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is preparing to release the SHIELD (Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense) IDIQ — a 10-year, multiple-award contract with a projected ceiling of $151 billion. This full-and-open competition will support the rapid acquisition and integration of advanced layered defense capabilities — spanning missile, cyber, air, space, and hybrid threats. The solicitation is expected in September 2025, with awards projected by February 2026. The primary NAICS is 541715, with dozens of others supporting technical, R&D, and defense manufacturing disciplines. There is no set-aside — this is full and open.
