Recent Developments, Challenges and Opportunities of Carbon Capture in a Carbon-neutral Future
About the Webinar
This complimentary webinar is the second in a three-part series of webinars hosted by ETMA, leading up to PetroEnvironment 2022 Symposium & Exhibition being held from 7 - 9 February 2022 in Dammam, KSA.

As stated in the recent special report by International Energy Agency (IEA)1 that “Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) will need to be an important pillar of efforts to put the world on the path to net-zero emissions”. The report also further commented that “Reaching net zero will be virtually impossible without CCUS”.
This presentation will cover two important parts of this subject: (i) the fundamental and mythical issues of carbon capture technology using reactive solvents and (ii) an overview of new and emerging R&D results (e.g. new amine solvents, new additives, novel process integration, etc.) which can lead to significant improvements of carbon capture processes. The potential implications of these new results will be described and their impacts on the oil and gas industry will be discussed.
