At the end of this course, students will have a better understanding of how the public sees law enforcement and discuss significant failure to intervene incidents.  We will cover when an officer must intervene, and who it applies to.

Significant court cases regarding duty to intervene and the policy and legal requirements of duty to intervene will be discussed.

​​​​​​​Through training videos made specifically for this course, you will identify criteria that constitute a failure to intervene, understand the role training has in duty to intervene cases and identify best practices on duty to intervene training and implementation.
