The focus of this presentation is a techno-economic model which was designed to represent the entire German energy system while considering the energy and all end-use sectors. Based on these aspects, different strategies for the reduction of CO2 emissions as well as their impact on the energy system are presented with a detailed focus on hydrogen pathways.

Dr. Martin Robinius has authored several hydrogen strategies for federal states and industry partners and around 60 publications on the topic of hydrogen in journals such as Applied Energy, IJHE and Renewable Energy. In his PhD thesis in 2015, he predicted a hydrogen pipeline grid for Germany.
