INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP FOR HYDROGEN AND FUEL CELLS IN THE ECONOMY
IPHE Policy Forum: Hydrogen: The New Global Commodity?
December 3, 2020
Date: December 3, 2020, 10:00 – 12:00 CET
The IPHE is exploring the best way forward to effectively scale up hydrogen in the economy and create a global hydrogen market through a series of in-depth conversations tackling key challenges and identifying actions that use resources most effectively.
Focus:
Hydrogen is moving to the top of the agenda in energy policy and in company strategies across the world. An increasing number of countries have announced billions of public investment in hydrogen. However, many challenges need to be addressed to harvest the full potential of hydrogen at a world scale in a cost-effective manner. Strong international cooperation and partnerships are more critical than ever.
Expected Outcome:
At the end of this meeting, we aim to have a deeper understanding of what is realistic to expect from hydrogen in the next 5 to 10 years and also, how governments and industry need to work together to maximize hydrogen’s potential.
