Pediatric Radiation Oncology for the Medical Physicist

The Radiation Oncology Department at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital treats more than 350 kids each year. Over the past three decades they’ve lead trials and protocols that have produced seminal data in the best practices of radiation therapy for children. This presentation will review different types of cases one might see in the pediatric population, considerations specific to treating children, and an overview of different technologies that are being used.
