Info-meeting Urban Greenhouse Challenge#3
About the event
In the Social Impact edition of the Urban Greenhouse Challenge, we challenge you to develop an urban farming site that significantly improves the quality of life of local residents in one of the most diverse lower-income neighbourhoods of Washington D.C. Come up with a comprehensive plan to develop East Capitol Urban Farm (Washington, D.C.) into an attractive urban farming site that enables robust and resilient year-round sustainable food production. The Challenge is open to students from universities and universities of applied sciences worldwide, in all phases of their studies (BSc, MSc, PhD or equivalent).
Participating in the challenge offers a unique opportunity to create a positive impact and make a huge difference in people’s lives. Moreover, it will boost your career and empower you to make change! Will you pick up the gauntlet?
Learn all you want to know about the third edition of the Urban Greenhouse Challenge during the first info meeting on Thursday 23 September.
During this you will learn first hand what does it mean to participate in the Challenge from one of the participants of the first edition. You will also meet Sabine O'Hara from University of District Columbia who will guide you through this edition's site. And of course WUR Student Challenges, the organizer of the Challenge, will explain the timeline, selection process and all you need to know about deliverables and criteria. There will be also plenty of room for your questions!
See you online!
