Transitioning to Ultralights – Ultra-Easy? Part 2
This presentation covers transitioning to and between ultralights and has two parts: a pre-recorded video that will be sent to attendees prior to the live event as well as a live panel discussion.
This live Q&A panel includes ultralight experts who will cover a range of topics.
About Kathy Lubitz
Kathy Lubitz is the President of the Ultralight Pilots Association of Canada (UPAC), the national voice for Canadian Ultralight Pilot and has been a member of EAA, RAA and COPA. She’s been a Private Pilot for more than 45 years and an Ultralight Flight Instructor for 30 years.
Kathy and her husband Ed were involved with home built aircraft before the Canadian ultralight category was created in 1982. In 2008, they built a full-scale replica of the Silver Dart celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first powered flight in Canada. Despite its 50 ft. wing span, the Silver Dart fits in the Canadian ultralight category. This aeroplane is now housed in the Air Force Museum in Trenton, ON.
