COPA SAFETY PROGRAM
COPA's Helicopter Safety Awareness Panel
In this edition of COPA’s monthly safety seminar series, we will look to the world of vertical flight by discussing the health of the Canadian recreational helicopter community from a safety perspective. This special panel discussion will feature representatives from the Helicopter Association of Canada, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada and Transport Canada Civil Aviation’s General Aviation Safety Program.
Our speakers will provide an overview of recent private helicopter accident trends and how these unfortunate statistics are influenced by pilot decision making. This overview will be followed by a discussion on what the corporate world has learned from these unfortunate cases. Other key topics will focus on continuous improvement, how the general aviation community can learn from industry to support safety as well as volunteer reporting initiatives.
The event will conclude with a presentation from our title sponsor, Garmin and COPA's corporate member Maxcraft Avionics.
*Please note: after registering you will receive emails from COPA with information on how to access the seminar. If you do not receive this email, we ask you check your junk mail and add WebinarJam to your whitelist/safe contacts list.
