This seminar meets the 24-month recurrent training requirements from Transport Canada.

The training will delve into the details of aircraft owner responsibilities for the regular preventative and annual maintenance programs for their personal aircraft. As new aircraft owners you have "care and custody" of your prized possession. With ownership comes the opportunity to manage your one-aircraft fleet like the pros. 

The seminar will begin with a short presentation from ForeFlight, a sponsor of COPA's Safety Program. ForeFlight’s Adrian Tegler will speak on how to use their logbook to keep track of aircraft maintenance items as well as their checklist to ensure pilots are fit to fly and the aircraft checks have been completed.

Roger has been a GPL/ground school instructor (class 1) for over 38 years and has 2,400 hours in gliders. Roger was a member of the Canadian gliding team at the 2015 Pan American Gliding Championships. He is the current President of the Gatineau Gliding Club, previously taking on roles such as CFI. Mr. Hildesheim is the Canadian FAI Records Chairman for the Soaring Association of Canada. He has his PPL (night) and is a tow pilot (PA-25 Pawnee and 7GCBC Citabria). Mr. Hildesheim owners a 7AC Champ (partnership) and a SZD-55 (glider). He has created and conducted multiple TC approved recurrent training seminars for both gliding and power pilots.

From 2019 to 2021 I was both the General Manager and Chief Flying Instructor of this Ontario Colleges Approved Flight Training Unit and Flying Club.
