Lead-Follow Instructing Best Practices
Leading HPDE organizations are adapting to our new world, and one of the big questions facing them is whether to use Lead-Follow Instruction - and if so, how. This webinar answers the question, “What are the best practices used by instructors and organizers who have included Lead-Follow as a training method?”
Lead-Follow Instruction is the process of an instructor driving a Lead car with one or more cars Following to demonstrate the driving line, as well as the timing and location of various techniques (when to brake, turn-in, begin acceleration, etc.). It also provides a way for instructors to introduce students to the track in a controlled, safe manner.
The webinar, put on by the Motorsport Safety Foundation, is hosted by Ross Bentley, and features Bill Wade of the BMW CCA, and David Ray of HOD. The session will be one-hour in length, and you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions.
