Inviting FDV/ IPV Practitioners, First Responders, GP's and Medical Practitioners, Community Service Providers, Mental Health Workers, Counselllors, First Responders, Youth Workers, Advocates, Suicide Prevention Providers and the wider community to join Connection And Wellbeing Australia in a workshop that will explore the experiences of LGBTIQA+ Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and how we can better respond to the needs of LGBTIQ+ people in our services.
The event will include a 2 hours workshop and then the launch of the LAUNCH of the WA Coordinator for LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Foundation
Tickets are $190 + GST
Proceeds will go towards WA LGBTIQA+ suicide proventon projects and LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awaness Foundation
Discussion will cover:
- How FDV and IPV presents in LGBTIQA+ communities
- Specific contributors to LGBTIQA+ FDV and IPV
- Unique challenges faced by LGBTIQA+ people experiencing FDV and IPV
- How to work inclusively with LGBTIQA+ people experiencing FDV and IPV
- Referring to and working with LGBTIQA+ groups to provide access to supports
