A WEBINAR FOR SHIPPING
Seafarer Mental Health and the Crew Change Crisis
We've assembled a team of experts from across the maritime industry to discuss one of the most pressing challenges the shipping sector faces in the continuing Covid-19 crisis -- the welfare and mental health of seafarers.
With many serving seafarers well beyond the terms of their original contracts -- separated from the support systems of friends and family -- mental health support is now more important than ever. Often under-reported and poorly recognised, mental health is just as important as physical wellbeing.
Our webinar will cover:
• Identifying and and anticipating mental health issues
• Support systems available to seafarers
• How companies are supporting their people and what more can be done
• Isolation, connections with loved ones and the role of internet at sea
• How social media can both contribute to and harm mental health and how it should be managed
