About the Webinar

Kihara has developed a novel molecular imaging method that allows natural moisturizing factor (NMF) distribution analysis across human face. By visualizing “invisible” molecular dynamics underlying skin homeostasis, deeper investigations of facial skin biology at the molecular level have become possible. The ultimate goal of the study is to provide consumers with site-specific and tailored facial-care products/programs using the distribution/composition information of NMF.

About the Presenter

Keishi Kihara received his Masters Degree in Engineering from Kyoto University (Japan) and has worked at the Shiseido Global Innovation Center as an analytical scientist since. He studies Mass Spectrometry imaging of molecular distributions in human skin for over 10 years. Kihara presented at both the IFSCC 2016 Orlando Congress and the IFSCC 2019 Milan Conference.
