The Implications of Net Zero for School Design

The CPD discusses the steps required to drive schools towards Net Zero. It focuses on achieving energy savings and improving energy efficiency before moving on to integration of low carbon heat plant and ongoing monitoring. Specific topics covered include reducing heat loss, MVHR, reducing flow temperatures and increased delta Ts, automatic hydronic balancing, thermal storage, hybrid plant rooms (heat pumps, CHP, and boilers), delivery of DHW using HIUs, and monitoring to achieve Net Zero.
