Ground Conditions of the Polish Baltic Sea for Offshore Windfarms
Poland is one of the most important emerging markets in the offshore wind industry, gaining a lot of interest from the developers, investors, suppliers and financing institutions. There are several variables that need to be considered when it comes to analysing the feasibility of an offshore wind project, such as the geological and geotechnical conditions. The purpose of this webinar is to establish a basic understanding of the ground conditions at the Polish Baltic Sea, highlighting the potential geohazards that could be encountered at the offshore wind farm sites, and the implications these geohazards might have regarding the foundation design and installation. In addition, we will also discuss how we can identify and adequately quantify the risk of these hazards to an offshore wind project.
