Great Crew Leader
Crew leaders not only have a direct impact on performance of jobs, they have a direct impact on employee retention. They say that people don’t quit companies, they quit their supervisors.  Because the crew leader is the front-line supervisor and with a severe labor shortage, it has never been more important to develop our crew leaders into Great Crew Leaders!

We believe that every crew leader has the potential to become a great crew leader. In other words, companies don’t need to find great crew leaders; they need to develop their existing crew leaders.

According to Gallup, the number one reason people leave a company is because they aren’t being developed. Crew leaders who are actively being developed are more likely to be engaged, be more productive, and positively impact employee retention. Of course, the opposite is true as well.

Developing Great Crew Leaders is a complete educational workshop, designed for both crew leaders and their managers. This workshop begins by bringing to life the critical nature of the crew leader position and why mediocrity is not an acceptable status. Every crew leader should be actively engaged on a developmental path toward greatness. Managers have a key role in this process as well and so they need to be informed and engaged to bring this to a reality.

The heart of the workshop is the Great Crew Leader Scoring Guide. This is a five-part assessment for each crew leader and manager to complete during the workshop. Each part covers one of the five primary roles of a crew leader: worker, driver, supervisor, trainer, and leader. This scoring guide then becomes an excellent tool for re-assessment and continued
improvement.

  • Who should attend?
Ideally, all crew leaders and their managers should attend. Crew leaders who attend without their managers present often lament that the impact on their company would be much greater if their manager was able to participate in the workshop along with them. Both new and seasoned crew leaders will greatly benefit from this workshop.
