The Transformative Power of Quality Coach-Athlete Relationships, with Sophia Jowett
An opportunity to hear from one of the most prominent speakers on the the transformative power of quality coach-athlete relationships. Sophia Jowett, PhD, is a professor at Loughborough University, UK. Sophia’s research revolves around interpersonal relationships, leadership and communication in performance-orientated contexts including sport, school and business.
Her research has been funded by the private and public sector and the findings of this research have been published in high impact outlets and disseminated in national and international conferences and meetings. Sophia is on the editorial board of a number of scientific journals, has co-edited books, monographs and special issues and has created digital coach/athlete resources.
Sophia served as a Psychologist for the Greek team at the 2004 Olympic Games and worked as a consultant in various organisations over the years. She is an associate fellow and chartered psychologist of the British Psychological Society.
