Workshop Overview

Following the introduction of the CQC's new Single Assessment Framework, inspections have changed. the inspection visit is now an observation visit. The CQC will visit services to carry out an observation when they perceive that there is a risk of poor care or closed culture, when they need to check the validity of evidence submitted or speak to the right people. As with the previous inspection visits, these observational visits can be unannounced. So, all care providers must be prepared for observational visits and know what the CQC will be checking.
