For me, that shift blew up in my face on January 8, 2025, when I woke up to a phone call that changed everything. The #PalisadesFire had taken my home, my office, my podcast studio—everything we had built. Everything we owned burned to ashes while we were on our honeymoon in Costa Rica.

In the middle of that loss, I saw something I never expected or saw coming: the strength of our community, the power of people showing up, and the importance of building something that doesn’t just survive but thrives in connection. Without this community I can tell you with certainty--I wouldn't be sharing the story of my mess turning into my message and figuring out how to create the lesson from it that benefits everyone. 

I realized something every coach, consultant, and conscious small business owner needs to hear. It all comes down to who you are and how you show up. My learnings:
