About the Webinar

Giacomo Ancri won The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Chemist's 2022 Best Presentation Award for his paper "Canola-Based Surfactants".  This same paper also won the Jack Jacobs Award for "Best Australia and New Zealand Paper".

The good news?  He will present this work as the IFSCC Webinar on 28 June. The bad news?  You don't have an excuse to travel to the beautiful country of New Zealand to hear him speak.

About the Presenter

​​​​​​​After obtaining a master’s degree in Applied Chemistry at the University of Milan, Giacomo Ancri landed in Australia in 2013 to fulfill his dream of developing a career overseas.

Now holding the position of HPC Technical Sales and R&D Chemist at Albright & Wilson (Australia), Giacomo excels in solving technical issues and engaging with customers to develop new products and bring innovation in the workplace.

He was a speaker at the 2022 ASCC and 2022 NZSCC conferences and won awards for best ANZ Technical Paper and Best Scientific Presentation respectively for his work on canola surfactants. 

About the Guest Scientist

Robert McPherson has been in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years.  Robert obtained a Degree in Chemistry from The University of Strathclyde (Scotland) specializing in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry.  Robert worked at Mentholatum Company in Glasgow for several years before immigrating to Australia.

In 2015 Robert joined Lubrizol as an Account Manager. He now is  SEA & AnZ Business Manager for Lubrizol life science – Home and Beauty .  

In 2017 Robert was elected President of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists and served in this position for over 3 years.  He won the ASCC Lester Conrad award for best presentation 3 times.  He joined the IFSCC in 2022 on the Presidential track in anticipation of the 2026 IFSCC Adelaide Congress.​​​​​​​
