The Good Virus: Spreading Performance Thinking® Across a Global Organization
The 2 simple models and 21 plain English words of Performance Thinking® are perfectly suited to rapid diffusion through an organization, with a little help. It does not happen on it's own. It needs to be nurtured and passed on. This "good virus" can spread across levels and functions in an organization, bridging organizational silos, locations, and business units. This phenomenon is consistent with our original vision that simplicity can enable adoption from the inside out, from the top down, and ultimately across all layers and levels.
Bill Blunt is a seasoned performance professional, having started his career in nuclear submarines, moved to commercial nuclear plants where he helped revolutionize error reduction, and worked for IBM as a consultant. Finally, as Global Director of Human Performance at one of the largest Biotech companies in the world, his role was to innovate the Company's approach to productivity and engagement.
This webinar will feature a conversation with Bill about his careful, proactive efforts to "spread the virus of Performance Thinking" across a global enterprise. Starting with himself and a few colleagues a dozen years ago, Bill led the effort to evangelize and demonstrate the power of Performance Thinking. Since his departure, his successor has continued to build the Performance Thinking community of practice to nearly 300 Certified Performance Thinking® Practitioners around the globe, recognized as a strategic business advanatage by executive leadership.
We'll discuss both the power of Performance Thinking to support a culture of continuous performance improvment, and how one can introduce and sustain simple but powerful ideas, models, and methods with a "viral" approach to change management.
