Improving Counseling for Clients Contemplating Divorce
About The Webinar
Join us for a virtual event to equip mental health professionals with knowledge and strategies to better counsel and support individuals and couples who are contemplating divorce, with an emphasis on helping your clients navigating relationship or marital issues during the current lockdown. This webinar is free for counselors and therapists in Virginia and the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., area.
Panelists will provide:
A detailed walk-through of the different options for divorce, particularly more peaceful methods than litigation to mitigate the impact on the adults and their children, and what to know about what will and will not be possible for couples during and after the current COVID-19 stay-at-home orders;
Strategies to consider with individuals or couples for whom relationship or marital counseling is no longer effective;
Tips for how to use this information to better counsel and support clients through the difficult decision and / or process of divorce; and
Dedicated time to answer questions about related challenges you have encountered in your practice.
