About The Challenge Session

This webinar unpacks how to effectively introduce and build design thinking in alignment with the NSW Technologies syllabus. It explores key concepts such as identifying user needs, generating and refining ideas, prototyping, and evaluating solutions.

​​​​​​​Teachers will gain practical strategies and lesson examples to embed empathy, creativity, and critical thinking into their teaching. This session is designed to support teachers working with Years 5–8 syllabus. This is the first in a three-part series exploring key thinking skills.

For NSW teachers, the challenge supports preparation for the updated syllabus, which will be mandatory to teach from 2027. Educators from all states are welcome and will find practical, relevant learning throughout.
