Kate Burt is an experienced solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in the legal sector and is founder of HiveRisk, a boutique consultancy supporting firms with their approach to risk and compliance.

Kate regularly advises law firms as well as award winning regtech and legal service providers on market strategy, law firm insights and regulatory compliance. Specialisms include AML, data protection, regulatory codes of conduct, PII renewals and complaints handling and works with both SRA CLC HMRC and FCA regulated firms.

​​​​​​​Kate has advised and advises regulated professionals and firms in relation to regulatory issues relating to unusual scenarios including, cryptocurrency, anonymous parties and matters involving complex source of funds challenges.
