Ben is a partner at Mourant Ozanne's Jersey funds team and is head of the firm's global funds team.  Ben advises on the formation, operation and financing of real estate funds and investment structures, as well as private equity, venture capital and debts funds.  Ben regularly advises fund promotors, managers, investors, directors and service providers across a wide variety of asset classes.
As a former Chairman, Ben remains an active committee member of the JFA and is a member of AREF's Public Affairs Comittee and NRCGT working group and a member of the BVCA's Channel Islands committee.  In addition to this Ben has been a long standing active participant in a number of Jersey finance industyr working groups, including Jersey's AIFMD, Jersey Private Fund, Economic Substance and OECD Pillar 2 working groups.
Ben is the only Jersey investment funds lawyer rop-ranked in the Chamber and Partners Global Guide for Jersey in both 2019 and 2020.  He is rated as one of the world's leading private funds lawyers by "Who's Who Legal 2019, is ranked as a leading lawyer by IFLR 1000 and features in the Legal 500's "Legal Hall of Fame UK" lawyers list, which highlights individuals who have received constant praise by their clients for continued excellence over the last 10 years.
