EEG Waveform Speed Round:
Can You Name That Pattern?

EEG waveforms vary dramatically with age, in various neurological conditions, and patients' clinical state. Recognizing and naming the patterns is crucial during monitoring and diagnosing and treating the patients.

The spikes and sharps can be normal in neonates of certain age and abnormal in other. The same sharps and spikes are signs of interictal patterns when appearing sporadically and occasionally, and ictal or ictal-interictal once they increase frequency and become continuous and rhythmic.

In an attempt to recognize and learn to accurately describe EEG patterns, this webinar will focus on a combination of usual and unusual EEG patterns seen in various neurological conditions and seizure disorders and patients of various age groups.
